Welcome to the Richmond Chapter of ASHRAE’s website. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the arts and sciences of HVAC and building systems. By using our site, purchasing tickets, or registering for events, you agree to the following terms.

1. Use of Our Website

You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes and in ways that do not harm Richmond ASHRAE, our members, or other users.

2. Event Registrations and Ticket Sales

Tickets are sold for lunch meetings, fundraising events, and other chapter activities.
All sales are processed securely through WooCommerce and Event Tickets Plus.
You are responsible for ensuring your registration details are accurate.

3. Cancellations, Refunds, and Transfers

If we cancel or reschedule an event, you may request a refund or transfer your ticket to another event.
For attendee-initiated cancellations, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis and must be requested prior to the event date.

4. Donations vs. Ticket Payments

Unless explicitly stated, ticket purchases are not tax-deductible donations. If a portion of your ticket cost qualifies as a donation, we will indicate this in event details and provide appropriate documentation.

5. Privacy

Your information is used only to process transactions, communicate about events, and improve our services. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Liability

By attending any Richmond ASHRAE event, you agree:

Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.
Richmond ASHRAE and its volunteers, officers, and members are not responsible for injuries, property damage, or other losses unless required by law.
Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for your ticket.

7. Third-Party Services

Our website uses third-party tools, including WordPress, WooCommerce, and Event Tickets Plus. We are not responsible for the policies or practices of these providers but work only with trusted platforms.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions periodically. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use of our website or event registration after changes means you accept the updated terms.
